Skate Canada skating programs offer a nationally recognized, structured approach to teaching skating skills, designed by experts and delivered by certified coaches. Unlike general recreation centre lessons, which often focus on basic exposure to the ice, Skate Canada programs follow a progressive curriculum that builds strong foundations in balance, control, and agility. Each skater is evaluated using consistent national standards, with clear pathways for advancement—from Learn to Skate (CanSkate) through to figure skating, hockey, speed skating, or synchronized skating.
